MSCS 환경에서 SQL 업그레이드 시 오류

Upgrade 수행 시 오류

MSCS 환경으로 구성되어 있는 MS SQL 2012를 2016으로 업그레이드를 하는 상황입니다.

setup.exe 를 실행하고 Upgrade from a previous version of SQL Server 항목을 선택하여 업그레이드를 진행합니다.

그런데 아래와 같은 메시지가 뜨며 진행되지 않았습니다.

SQL Server Setup failure.

해결 방안

서비스 중에 Remote Registry 서비스가 Disabled 되어 있습니다. 이 서비스를 Manual로 변경하시고 Start 하시고 SQL Setup을 진행하시면 됩니다.

설치가 완료되면, 보안을 위해 Disabled 시키시면 됩니다.
